Free Ad-Supported Streaming Sees 28% Growth In Impressions

Free ad-supported streaming television, or FAST, services have expanded their viewership as many consumers seek an alternative to paying for another subscription for video. Marketers are shifting budgets into FAST services, as seen in last year’s 28% growth in global ad impressions, according to a report by media-technology company Amagi.

FAST’s digital backbone provides a way to use more advanced advertising formats, including non-intrusive and interactive spots. About two out of five (41%) of U.S. consumers said they would prefer an ad message at the bottom of the screen that’s non-intrusive, Amagi’s survey found.
