Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer has joined the list of luminaries who will speak at this year’s 4As Transformation conference in Los Angeles from March 16-19, the trade association has confirmed. Mayer made headlines recently when she dismissed the company’s COO, Henrique De Castro, who had been tasked with improving the media company’s relationship with Madison Avenue. Mayer will be more involved going forward in selling Adland on the attributes of her company. Her appearance at the 4As annual conference is seen as part of her charm offensive to woo agency leaders and senior marketing executives at major advertisers. There will be plenty of both at the upcoming conference. The organization said that branding, data, social responsibility and entrepreneurship are among the broad themes that will be addressed at this year’s conference. Other industry notables that will be speaking at the conference include Bill Koenigsberg, CEO Horizon Media, Sarah Hofstetter, CEO, 360i, Karen Kaplan, CEO Hill Holliday and John Montgomery, COO of GroupM. In one session, Harris Diamond, CEO of Interpublic’s McCann Worldgroup, will interview client Tim Mahoney, Chevrolet Global CMO. In another, Renetta McCann will lead a discussion about agency millennials. And MediaLink CEO Michael Kassan will interview Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer. There will also be sessions on mobile and addressability among other topics. NBC Universal Research Czar Alan Wurtzel will be hand with a presentation about the company’s research efforts for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. More on the conference lineup can be found here.
