To celebrate the launch of its new "Natural Cut Fries," Hardee's has declared this Friday "Free Fry-Day" at all U.S.-based Hardee's restaurants. Diners will receive a small order of fries on the house. The fries are described by St. Louis, Mo.-based Hardee's as thicker, and have potato skin left on them to mirror the kind of premium-quality fries found at sit-down restaurants. EVP/marketing Brad Haley said, per a release, that the company has been working for three years to find French fries "good enough" to be served with its Thickburgers. Hardee's Food Systems, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of CKE Restaurants, Inc. of Carpinteria, Calif.--Nina M. Lentini
