DAVID Miami has announced Edgard Gianesi as chief creative officer, taking over from Rafa Donato who has been named chief creative officer of Ogilvy Brazil.

Gianesi, a nine-year veteran of the agency, will lead the agency's newest clients, Android and Pennington. Previously, he was executive creative director at DAVID’s São Paulo office, handling brands such as Coca-Cola, Burger King and Faber-Castell, where he led his team to win more than 25 Cannes Lions.

Carolina Vieira, managing director of DAVID Miami, said Gianesi "brings the experience of working with international clients and brands seeking creative excellence as a business differentiator, posed to make an impact in the U.S. market."

Before joining DAVID, Ed served five years as global creative director at Lowe UK for Unilever, working on the KNorr, Persil and Becel accounts, among others.

In addition to the agency's offices in Miami and São Paulo, the DAVID network is in Buenos Aires, Madrid, Bogotá and New York.
