Dan Israel has over 20 years of experience on both the client and agency side, as well as with large companies and start-ups. He love helping smart companies discover more about their customers. The deeper level of understanding Dan bring enables the company to become relevant in both the online and offline worlds that their customers seamlessly cross every day.
Previously, Dan led consumer mobile strategy at The Home Depot, where her launched the first generation of iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone 7 apps, and overhauled the mobile website. The iPhone app was recognized by Forrester Research as an “exemplar company that has well matched its mobile services to this (home goods) category.”
Prior to The Home Depot, Dan spent nine years at BellSouth and AT&T Mobility. He concentrated on broadband and mobile applications for the consumer and business segments. Dan also have start-up experience from his days as one of the founders of Incanta. The turnkey broadband applications company raised $22MM over three rounds.
While serving in leadership capacities at both Razorfish and SapientNitro, Dan leveraged his understanding of marketing and technology to create killer customer experiences in the retail, financial, consumer packaged goods, and travel and hospitality spaces. Previous clients include: Coca-Cola, UPS, Panera Breads, Regions Bank, KPMG, Lenscrafters, and IHG, among others.
Dan Israel is a steadfast source of thought leadership on digital experiences for leading publications such as MediaPost, Mobile Marketer,ClickZand eMarketer. He also speak at major industry conferences, including OMMA Global and OMMA mCommerce, MediaPost’sMobile Insider Summit, Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association, Digital Atlanta, Atlanta Mobility Live, and MforMobile.
Dan has a BA from Emory University, an MSc from the London School of Economics and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He has lived abroad three times in his life: Tehran, Iran (1975-1976); London, England (1990-1991); and Kagoshima, Japan (1992-1993).
