MediaCom partnered with Volkswagen to prove that the Volkswagen
Bug isn’t just for girls. The result, “Beetle Shark Cage,” a TV spot that put the Beetle in a place many guys wish they could be (maybe once)… swimming with the sharks. For the spot, which aired
during Discovery Channel’s “Shark Week,” Volkswagen created a fully-operational underwater Beetle. This ‘shark observation cage’ and perfect replica of the iconic car was dropped into shark-infested
waters, boosting male buyer sales in the process.
