AT&T - Director of Media Planning

The Director, Media Services position manages the media strategy, development and implementation of AT&T’s Business-to-Business and Corporate initiatives (including the AT&T Texting While Driving Campaign, It Can Wait). This entails working with and managing the Media Agency of Record for development of media strategy and brief, media mix selection and buy implementation. In addition, the Director will be responsible for stewardship of the media efforts in regards to plan optimizations and delivery. The position requires expertise in media planning, particularly digital media strategy and buying. This position will interface with company management, marketing communications, advertising teams, sales/field departments and/or advertising agencies to develop and implement media planning programs. The Director will also be responsible for managing the annual media budget and billings for the B2B and It Can Wait/Brand programs. Business-to-business media planning expertise is a plus. In additional, youth marketing and youth media planning background is also a plus. We are looking for candidates that possess a unique blend of offline/traditional media planning experience and digital/paid social media expertise.

Additional Responsibilities

- Responsible for all aspects of media planning for a business line
- Maintain advanced knowledge of media professional field
- Maintain advanced knowledge of digital media and analytics
- Maintain working knowledge of other major functional areas and skills to integrate and communicate that information
- Oversee the development, execution and monitoring of integrated media in support of the strategic business objectives
- Evaluate impact on strategic media objectives and strategies
- Apply advanced media principles, theories and concepts
- Apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues
- Have the ability to think big picture and offer strategic insights
- Be detail-oriented and have a passion for diving into numbers and analytics

This position is located in Dallas, TX. Relocation assistance is available.

- 10+ years media planning and execution experience across various media channels (Digital,
TV, radio, print, etc.)
- Digital media planning and management experience is a must
- Must possess both outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and problem solving skills and proven ability to handle multiple tasks
- Knowledge of business-to-business media planning and marketing a plus
- Knowledge of youth media planning and marketing a plus
- Knowledge of wireless terminology, products, and services
- Knowledge of telecommunications industry and terminology
- BA in marketing, media and/or communications, MBA is preferred
