JOB SUMMARY

The Media Trader will work with a team of experienced marketers on DFO’s video advertising initiatives.  This individual will work directly with account management as well as advertising operations on developing inventory acquisition strategies that align with advertiser goals. They also will identify opportunities within each campaign to improve performance and take action to improve results.

This person’s day will consist of trafficking campaigns, acquisition of new inventory, data analysis and trading of inventory.  They will communicate with the publisher and advertiser account management teams on potential upsells and new opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Hands-on execution, optimization and management of campaigns;
•  Analyze campaign, ad server, and user data to identify opportunities for account growth;
•  Spot trends and provide recommendations to increase growth;
•  Work directly with account management to communicate success and optimizations to clients;
•  Build and maintain partnerships with DSPs, SSPs, and Exchanges;
•  Provide insight and feedback to advertiser/publisher account teams, advertising operations, and management to improve capabilities and offering;
•  Train fellow team members on programmatic buying and selling best practices;
•  Assist with daily and monthly reporting analysis for management team;


JOB SPECIFICATIONS

•  2+ of relevant digital media experience;
•  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent;
•  Experience with buying and media trading-related technologies, including DSPs/SSPs, 3rd party ad servers and exchanges;
•  Deep understanding of real time bidding and programmatic buying techniques;
•  Firm understanding of desktop and mobile advertising ecosystems;
•  High level of interest in data mining and optimizations;
•  Above average problem solving skills and troubleshooting;
•  Advanced skills in excel, pivot tables, and data reporting;
•  Experience with performance driven programs is a plus;
