JOB OVERVIEW:

  • Manage the creative strategy and vision for  Blink
  • Visionary and curator of trends, pop culture, fashion, etc. and how it gets manifested within brand communication, look and feel of the clubs, etc.
    • Lead internal and external teams and key stakeholders on strategy, concept, design, and execution of company initiatives
    • Possess the ability to empower teams to create innovative concepts, designs and layouts that exceed strategic objectives and deliver the vision of the brand
    • Oversee the entire creative process across in-house teams and agency partners
    • Lead art director, copywriter, marketing and external partners, business owners and developers on the execution and implementation of concepts across multiple platforms and media channels 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute creative strategies across various marketing channels, including: video, print, DM, editorial site, OOH, digital, advertising, email, social, etc. 
  • Produce charismatic, purposeful, provocative and exceptional design work
  • Provide strategic direction to external agencies, photographers and stylists to make sure the vision of the brand is consistently represented for all print, digital and video campaigns
  • Deliver high level conceptual development for properties including advertising campaigns, videos, activations, programming/service/amenity launches, newsletters, websites/mobile/social campaign
  • Bring a strong understanding of the digital environment and evolving tools and platforms used to improve online and digital presence
  • Manage the creative team of 5 people from concept to completion (print and digital).  Provide consistent feedback to Art Director and designer to ensure that brand guidelines and quality standards are met to consistently elevate the Blink brand experience (including ideation, creative development, creative reviews, daily sign offs, etc.)
  • Manage a team to meet multiple, non-negotiable, conflicting deadlines and approvals with razor focus and impeccable attention to detail

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BFA or BA is required
  • Agency experience a plus
  • Flawless design aesthetic paired with the ability to create ideas in written form.  Regardless of background, the ability to lead the vision for design and copy to come together in strong and succinct brand articulation.
  • Strong understanding of new media and propensity to stay ingrained in technology and cultural happenings.
  • Understands how to create off-the-cuff content
  • Strong conceptual thinker with comprehensive experience in print & digital creative execution
  • Passion for fitness a plus
  • Possess the ability to evaluate creative and convey constructive feedback to design a team to grow their skillset while elevating the creative
  • The leadership to drive the vision for the brand creative along with the humility to roll up sleeves to work alongside the team in a demanding and exciting start-up environment
  • Ability and understanding to lead a team from concept ideation to execution and ultimately take each project to completion (including trouble shooting obstacles in pre and post production)
