Charter - Manager, Mass Media

JOB SUMMARY
The Mass Media Manager is responsible for the strategic development, oversight and execution of effective advertising plans that drive company growth. This position requires extensive Media knowledge for both Traditional and Digital Media tactics. The Mass Media Manager will manage advertising campaigns and projects from inception to completion, including post campaign analysis and summary reports.
 
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
 
Develop, maintain and communicate strategic plans for Traditional and Digital with a strong emphasis on Audio Advertising.
 
Manage the tracking/reporting of Advertising tactics on a daily, weekly, monthly basis to assess performance framework.
 
Track response and conversion to drive advertising efficiencies and effectiveness; accountable for marketing budget, ROI and cost per connect to drive profitable revenue and operating cash flow
 
Oversee and manage ad agency, communicate with internal and external research groups, industry organizations and other sources of expertise.
Maintain key performance indicators for advertising planning, media buying, account service and innovation.
 
Prepare, streamline and manage Advertising purchase order requests and various functions of Account Receivable responsibilities.  Budget preparation and reforecasting; monitoring and reporting on advertising expenditures.
 
Participate in internal and Ad Agency meetings to explain data analytics and provide detailed reports
Communicate with internal and external research groups, industry organizations and other sources of expertise
 
Employ strong project management skills, demonstrating the ability to set and meet deadlines for multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in deliverables
 
Performs other duties as requested
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
 
Skills / Abilities and Knowledge
  • Must be a committed team player, able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Must have a solid understanding of Media tactics including Spot Radio Advertising, D.J. Endorser Advertising, Radio Promotions, Experiential promotions and Digital Audio platforms
  • Must have knowledge of TV Advertising, Print and Digital Video platforms
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner 
  • Ability to manage all phases of a large project from beginning to end with sufficient autonomy
  • Ability to work well with people from all levels of the organization, many different disciplines and varying degrees of technical and business experience
  • Ability to conduct formal presentations to all levels of management on issues or findings in assigned areas or subjects
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information 
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively 
  • Strong attention to detail balanced with the ability to think strategically
  • Highly developed capacity for teamwork and a strong focus on the customer
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; proficient in other desktop applications
 
Education
Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline and/or an equivalent experience
