Charter - Media Traffic Specialist

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for creating and maintaining cross channel traffic instructions for internal marketing initiatives.  This position ensures marketing advertisements air across various cable networks in accordance to monthly media plans. Provide assistance with monthly media planning, post-reporting, and auditing activities.  This position will work closely with Charter and third party traffic personnel.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, maintain, and coordinate cross channel traffic instructions

 

Coordinate on-air copy rotations between Charter and all third party MSOs

 

Determine creative rotation weighting percentage in accordance to media level and fulfillment requirements

 

Record spot titles, ISCI codes, air dates, rotation percentage, and inclusions/exclusions on traffic instructions

 

Implement advertising copy for Charter Spectrum markets rollout

 

Work with internal brand and product teams to ensure all marketing materials are accounted for at our spot distribution company and third party headends/master control. Produce recommendations for teams and third party vendors.

 

Responsibility encompasses broadcast, cross channel, and digital creative

 

Review and analyze cross channel affidavits, contract data reports, and post analysis reports

 

Responsible for mass media invoicing and auditing

 

Coordinate and distribute digital media traffic

Performs other duties as assigned

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner
Time management and problem solving skills
Ability to analyze and process a large amount of information to meet daily/weekly/monthly deadlines
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and handle shifting priorities 
Must have a high attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to manage all phases of a large project from beginning to end with sufficient autonomy
Ability to work well with people from all levels of the organization, many different disciplines and varying degrees of technical and business experience
Ability to show judgment and initiative to accomplish job duties
Ability to make decisions and resolve problems while working under pressure
Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook

 

Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Knowledge of traffic systems (Eclipse and NOVAR)
