    Miller Brewing Co. has dropped J. Walter Thompson from its agency roster. The agency's Chicago office handled the Miller Genuine Draft and Foster's Lager brands.

    NYC2012, the committee leading New York City's bid to host the Olympic Games in 2012, announced that R/GA has been chosen as its new web Agency of Record. R/GA has launched an initial design for NYC2012's website (www.NYC2012.com). R/GA was chosen to create a new and expanded online presence for NYC2012 and to handle all web functions, including redesign, maintenance, development of email marketing programs and development of more robust web functionality for the international phase of the bid competition.

    Duke's Chowderhouse Restaurants has moved all advertising, marketing and public relations functions to Carr Knowledge. The company has created a new interactive website for the restaurant chain that will serve as the hub for all traditional media campaigns.

Townsend will position BIOCOM and the San Diego regional life science industry as a leader on the global stage. In order to attain this goal, the campaign may include international public relations, brand strategy development, advertising, community outreach and enhanced member services.
