  • Truck Hero
    Doner
    Truck Hero, a supplier of branded consumer accessories for pickup trucks and Jeeps, named Doner as its first-ever advertising agency of record. Doner will launch the brand's first integrated consumer campaign, launching this spring, and develop a new website. "We needed a smart, experienced agency partner to help us launch the Truck Hero brand to consumers," said Bill Reminder, president and CEO of Truck Hero. "The team at Doner clearly demonstrated their category knowledge, strategic and creative expertise, and their shared passion for the Truck Hero brand."     OMD

    Sony has awarded media planning and buying duties for its music division in North America to Omnicom’s OMD, according to sources. In the U.S., the Sony Music unit spent just over $10 million on ads in 2014, according to Kantar Media. Full-year 2015 figures aren’t yet available. The company’s North American music business was one of two assignments that had not been decided upon last month when Sony awarded the bulk of its global media account to several agencies including OMD, UM and MediaCom. 

  • YP.com, Vuzix, Baylor Miraca and Navvis & Company
    Yamamoto
    Minneapolis-based agency, Yamamoto, added four national accounts to its client roster. The agency was first awarded YP.com, Vuzix, a Rochester, NY-based supplier of Video Eyewear and Smart Glasses products in the consumer, commercial and entertainment markets. Next, the company added genetic and genomic testing laboratory Baylor Miraca, and Navvis & Company, a provider of consulting services to health systems, hospitals and physician groups across the U.S. The agency will be providing a broad range of services, ranging from brand strategy and positioning, marketing plan development, creative campaign launches, digital engagement and social media strategy. "We've got great momentum going into the year," said Kathy McCuskey, CEO of Yamamoto. "We're excited about the diversity of the clients and the opportunity to help them achieve their ambitious growth plans for 2016."
  • Hatfield Quality Meats and Farm Promise

    Following a four-month review, Clemens Food Group named LevLane as agency of record for its Hatfield Quality Meats and Farm Promise pork brands. The agency will be responsible for creative, media, brand planning and social media elements. Allebach Communications previously handled the work. Paid media will include both consumer and trade, East Coast-based initially, and expanding west as the company's new Coldwater, Mich. facility, now under construction, opens. First work will break in the spring. Additional LevLane clients include Rothman, Kennedy Health, Jefferson Concussion Center, Beacon Trust, Massage Envy, Ventana, Viamonte and MDVIP, among others.

    Republica
    eMerge Americas, a B2B technology conference that brings together technology companies with business and government leaders from North America, Latin America and Europe, named Miami-based Republica as its digital marketing and social media agency of record. The agency will develop a digital marketing and social media strategy aimed at broadening awareness for the annual eMerge Americas conference, which will take place in Miami, Florida, from April 18-19. "Republica is a cutting-edge agency with standout expertise in many sectors including tech, and they have helped build brands across many cultural demographics -- this makes them the ideal partner for eMerge," said Xavier Gonzalez, CEO of eMerge Americas.
