  • Hanwha L & C Surfaces
    The Republik
    Following a 3-month review, Hanwha L&C Surfaces named The Republik as its agency of record. Previously, the brand took a three-year advertising hiatus and prior to that, advertising was handled by Rocket Red. Hanwha L&C Surfaces manufactures HanStone Quartz and Hanex Solid Surfaces for home and commercial construction. Agency selection was handled by Bob Paradiso, vice president of sales and marketing at Hanwha. Two other review participants were Passport Advertising and an unnamed Atlanta-based agency. A $2 million budget will go to marketing, planning, branding and strategy, digital and social media advertising, content development, packaging and collateral design, public relations and product placement. Advertising will target residential and commercial architects, designers, builders and surfacing fabricators.
  • adidas Golf
    Vitro
    Vitro was named creative agency of record of adidas Golf, following a review. Venables Bell & Partners briefly handled the account. The global work will be led out of Vitro's San Diego office and will include digital, social media and retail work. First work will launch in the fall. "As adidas looks to strengthen its position as a leading provider of innovative golf footwear and apparel, we're very excited to express that through the reality that golf is a sport and golfers are athletes," said Tom Sullivan, president/CEO of Vitro. adidas Golf spent $54 million on measured media in 2015, according to Kantar Media.
  • Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority
    FKQ Advertising
    FKQ Advertising + Marketing was named agency of record for Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority, following a two-month RFP process. The agency selection process consisted of RFPs from 76 different agencies. The first round resulted in five finalists being selected, including FKQ, for the second round of in-person judging. PSTA and FKQ have already started work on consumer-driven initiatives, including branding for a multicounty fare collection system and rapid transit naming conventions. "FKQ is proud to be named PSTA's new agency of record and we value the opportunity to utilize our expertise and credentials to deliver strong results that will promote and encourage a customer-oriented public transit system in Pinellas County," said Lisa Faller, president and CEO of FKQ. "We are excited to serve as a seamless extension of the PSTA's team with a focus on their marketing goals and objectives."

    MBMG
    MBMG was named media agency of record for 360fly, manufacturer of a single-lens camera that captures stitchless 360-degree video. First work for the agency was to develop an integrated media plan to reach 360fly's mostly male, young and active demographic. "MBMG has done a stellar job in helping us position our core brand messaging and providing the most effective and efficient delivery channels," said Todd Waks, chief marketing officer of 360fly.
  • The Lisa Colagrossi Foundation
    MWWPR and Ogilvy
    The Lisa Colagrossi Foundation (TLCF) named MWWPR and Ogilvy, as its agencies of record. The companies will work with the foundation to launch a national campaign to create awareness and advance education for the signs, symptoms and risk factors for brain aneurysms. In September of 2015, Todd Carwford founded TLCF in honor of his wife Lisa Colagrossi, a television journalist known for her work with ABC-TV in NY. After experiencing an excruciating headache (a warning sign for brain aneurysm), Lisa went to work one morning and suffered a massive brain aneurysm. "This is a critical step forward for the general public today and further demonstrates our commitment to leading the worldwide effort to raise awareness and educating people about a disease more prevalent than breast cancer," said Crawford. "Most people don't realize there are warning signs for brain aneurysms and that lives can be saved. Even though we are just beginning, we are proud to share that we have already saved at least 8 lives through our awareness efforts. We are thrilled to have two of the top PR firms in the world partnering with us as we set out to make brain aneurysms part of the national healthcare dialogue."
  • Schreiber Foods and ZO Skin Health
    Rhythm
    Irvine-based digital agency Rhythm added Schreiber Foods and ZO Skin Health to its client roster. Founded in 1945, Schreiber is a supplier of store-brand cheese to the grocery industry and supplier of processed cheese for the foodservice industry. Rhythm will design and develop a new website to showcase Schreiber's company history and develop a social media strategy for the brand. ZO Skin Health, a medical skincare brand, taped Rhythm to handle a website redesign and development, search marketing solutions, content development, custom campaigns and paid media support.
  • Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts, Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection and Red Lion Hotels Corporation

    MMGY Global added three clients to its roster: Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts, Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection (BHTP) and Red Lion Hotels Corporation (RLHC). For Bahia Principe and RLHC, the agency will handle strategic direction, targeted media outreach, press trip management and content development. BHTP tapped MMGY to lead the company's media relations, thought leadership program and the development of a news bureau. "As we broaden our portfolio to include ancillary services for travelers, such as travel insurance, we are deepening our expertise in all areas of travel. This enables us to become a stronger resource for media and increases the opportunities for diverse client integration," said Julie Freeman, executive vice president and managing director, public relations, social and experiential marketing, MMGY Global.

    Kahn Media
    Kahn Media was named PR and marketing agency of record for Vintage Air, a manufacturer of air conditioning systems and performance front-engine component drive systems for classic and late model cars, trucks and hot rods. Kahn Media will oversee public and media relations for Vintage Air as well as manage its product placement and promotion strategies, social media presence and event marketing program. The agency will also build Vintage Air a new website to enhance its customers' online experiences. "We are a company of car guys, and Kahn Media's reputation for cutting-edge marketing and its staff of creative gearheads makes this a good fit. We are looking forward to seeing how they help us grow our business and expand the Vintage Air brand," said Rick Love, executive vice president of Vintage Air.

    Kore PR added Wax Pot Studio, a full service beauty salon in Nashville, to its client roster. Wax Pot opened in 2007 and offers clients looking for waxing, laser hair removal, lash extensions, facials, skincare, make up application and sunless tanning services.
