What can you do with a "computational" engine? Well, according to Wolfram Alpha, you can recreate the moment Galileo pointed his telescope at the planet Jupiter and discovered its moons. This post
tells you how. It also provides instructions on what to type into the search engine to find out more about each "Galilean moon," the ones he saw 400 years ago: Io, Europa, Ganymede, and
Callisto.
And while the post offers lots of valuable information, the author also tries to compare the efforts of the computational engine's co-creator, Stephen Wolfram, to Galileo, which of
course is just plain silly.
