Don't Ignore Image Alt Attributes

AJ Wilcox reminds us not to ignore image alt attributes. They are easy to forget, he writes, but important for those searching in engines for information -- especially for the visually impaired.

The blind have browsers that read the page text aloud. When the browser comes to an image, if there is no alt text, the browser can't add specific information to help the visually impaired with the search.
