On Monday, Yahoo is going to announce a broad mobile partnership with Nokia, sources tell
BoomTown's Kara Swisher. Per the deal, the Finland-based
mobile phone giant will build Yahoo email, search and other applications and services into its various devices. Nokia had reportedly considered making a Yahoo-centric phone, but sources says that idea

initiatives, along with many -- "mostly failed, according to Swisher -- partnerships with carriers and telecom makers. Project Nike is now being fast-tracked in light of Google's and Apple's rapid
gains in the mobile arena - both of which threaten to leave Yahoo and Nokia in the dust. Yahoo Americas EVP Hilary Schneider played a lead role in the Nokia partnership, which sources say was a done
deal two to three weeks ago.
