Google Trends provides data for breakouts on keywords around current events, but a three-day delay from Google Insights and AdWords only provides monthly numbers, according to Michael King. He points to several strategies for real-time keyword research tactics and tools -- among them comparing social signals, such as Twitter tweets, with search.
