Email Insider Summit: Call for Submissions
We are looking for Email Insiders to join us in Deer Valley, Park City, Utah, Dec. 4-7. We made a call for submissions last spring and received some great proposals that were included in the agenda as a result. So here I am asking again.
I will be leading this December’s EIS programming committee again and have an all-star lineup -- including David Bronson of Turner Broadcasting System, Brian Jaffe of Nationwide Insurance, Eric Kirby of Connection Engine and Lana McGilvray of PulsePoint -- helping me select topics and identify speakers that will live up to high standards set by previous Summits.
We are working together to secure three keynotes and program 12 panels. Based on audience feedback and our own curatorial meetings with Ross Fadner at MediaPost, we continue to seek the best and brightest new voices in email marketing. And this is where we could use your help!
The major themes of the next event will be innovation, integration, and convergence of marketing where email operates as digital glue in the customer experience. We know that email does not live in a vacuum. We also know that email is becoming an increasingly integral part of all forms of communication. Email platforms are expanding their capabilities into other marketing arenas, and platforms of all types are imbedding email capabilities. Our goal is to highlight topics that bring marketers and service providers together in order to turn best-practice theories into reality.
In addition to the normal mix of keynote presentations and panel discussions, we are going to introduce a new format this Summit, where we will have solo presenters speak for 15 minutes. These mini-presentations, or burst sessions, are intended to provide a forum where speakers can present concise viewpoints on some of the more challenging topics in the industry.
The primary objective of the Insider summits is to bring together some of the best and brightest minds in the industry to address the most pressing issues. This is part of the reason we tend to do our programming a bit later that some other conferences. The Deer Valley Email Insider Summit is just 2 months away, which means we need your submissions quickly. The deadline for submission is Monday, Oct. 24.
Your call to action is to submit abstracts that speak to these themes. Preference will be given to sessions that focus on real-life cases, with the analytics and research findings that demonstrate the ability to take email theory and turn them into reality. We also know there are more quantitative and creative gurus who aren’t regulars on the circuit but have much to offer. If that’s you, start thinking about your topic.
Up to the challenge? Go to the speaker proposal form and share your session ideas.
