YouTube's Hungry Bows Three New Series Ahead Of Wednesday Launch
Electus, the multimedia studio that is part of IAC, is today announcing three new original video series to run on Hungry, the YouTube channel that aims to be the video giant’s answer to TV’s Food Network.
The new series, “Summer Cocktails with The Beer Chicks,” “Drink Inc” and “Grill This with Nathan Lippy,” cover beer, mixology and grilling -- three popular summertime themes, particularly in the U.S.
The first series, “Summer Cocktails with The Beer Chicks,” is out to change people’s perception of beer by showing viewers how to incorporate it as an ingredient in summer cocktails. The show’s hosts are Christina Perozzi and Hallie Beaune, also known as The Beer Chicks. The series launch will be in mid-July.
“Drink Inc” follows the adventures of two of L.A.’s most famous mixologists, Steve Livigni and Daniel K. Nelson, as they visit bars and restaurants in search of new ideas for cocktails. The series launches this Thursday.
“Grill This with Nathan Lippy” will show viewers tips and tricks for creating full meals from the grill with renowned Chef Nathan Lippy. The series launches in August.
Hungry is run by CEO Bruce Seidel, a food television vet, in partnership with Creative Artists Agency and with consultation from celebrity chef Duff Goldman. The channel’s official launch is this Wednesday, June 27th.
"Hungry's newest series will satisfy all of your summer food needs, whether you're looking for unique grilling ideas or tips on the best summer beer and cocktails," said Bruce Seidel, CEO of Hungry. "We're especially excited to offer viewers a variety of shows in the 'drink' category, which we feel is perfectly suited to evolve online.”
