YouTube Updates Xbox App

Google’s YouTube, which is busy overhauling most of its apps on different platforms to make room for ads, updated its Xbox app on Tuesday. The company says the update is up to 5 times faster, adds new channels, and generally improves the YouTube experience on the Xbox.
All Things Digital’s Peter Kafka thinks most of the reason for the update is to make way for more ads. The update comes just a few weeks after the video-sharing site unveiled a new PS3 app. Next up should be YouTube’s new iPhone and iPad app.
