Study Shows How Clients Discover Agencies

Only 16% of people learn about new marketing and ad agencies via platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook, according to a survey by RSW/US titled "2012 Agency & Client Perspective on Topics Related to Agency New Business." It turns out that 58% of marketers said they often learn about new agencies via emails, and 49% said they learn about them via phone. The majority of Agencies believe the degree of difficulty in obtaining new business this year is about the same as it was in 2011, while 35% of Agencies state that it's more difficult to find new business. The study presents the issues, implications, and suggests solutions.

    Personal relationships of whom knows who in what ways and who to trust off line trumps all. "Play golf" (or some other exercise vis a vis connections) still applies.
