The Los Angeles Video Project

A filmmaker contest called “On Location: The Los Angeles Video Project” calls for local filmmakers to create two-to-four minute videos to “share their perspectives of L.A.," reports the Los Angeles Times. The videos are posted on the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board website to paint L.A. as a hot spot for tourism again.

“These films allow us to portray L.A. in a different way than what we see in the movies,’’ William Karz, director of digital marketing for the tourism and convention board told the Los Angeles Times. “It’s a different side of L.A. -- the culture, the food, the markets -- that you really capture in these films.”
