It’s estimated that the Web currently encompasses more than 14 billion individual pages. Remarkably, however, it takes no more than 19 clicks to navigate from one page to any other page on
the Web, according to Hungarian physicist Albert-László Barabási. As Smithsonian.com reports, “Barabási credits this ‘small world’ of the Web to human
nature -- the fact that we tend to group into communities.”
