Fourth Source today wrote about the power of combining location apps with real-time data, using the recent Google/Waze news as an example.

"Using real-time location data collected from Google+ (and other partner networks if possible), Google will be able to tell you what coffee is being enjoyed at that cafe down the road, whether you’ve just missed the no.7 bus back home, or if that new shop that just opened is a hit. Yes, some of these things are possible using just the reviews feature, but not in real time. This new potential of Google Maps will update automatically, using social data as well as location data to create what is almost a social network within the map interface. Google has potentially landed on something very special," Fourth Source wrote.
