Vevo Won't Allow Offline YouTube Viewing

Vevo will reportedly opt out of YouTube's forthcoming offline viewing option. YouTube's Android and iOS apps are slated to receive an update in November that will allow users to store videos offline for up to 48 hours. Vevo's music video service gets more than 3 billion views monthly via its 15,000 YouTube channels. The offline viewing function will be added by default when the new app launches, but partners are able to opt out if they wish.
