Indie Labels Uncomfortable With Forthcoming YouTube Subscription Service

In a new ad-free subscription music service, reports suggest YouTube plans to give 55% of the revenue from its new service to labels and 10% to publishers, lower than rival services. Rolling Stone took the topic to the indie artists to find out how they feel about the forthcoming service. One artist, Marc Ribot, a veteran experimental jazz musician, is protesting YouTube's actions as part of a group called the Content Creators Coalition.
