SEO Practitioner Questions The Need For SEMPO Code Of Ethics

The Search Engine Marketing Professionals Organization (SEMPO) recently suggested the industry needs a code of ethics to help solve some of the industry's problems. Larry Kim shares his doubts on whether it's a good idea, or even practical. He thinks it will "throw open the doors to frivolous lawsuits by disgruntled clients." Since there's no real way to mandate the code, it won't work to establish "a hollow ultimatum of 'sign it or else,'" or some other equally weak coercion. Kim explains.
