YouTube is testing its own GIF maker. “At the moment, it looks like the feature is experimental,” Gizmodo reports. “The only channel we can find with it enabled is the PBS Idea
Channel.” If successful -- which, given the immense popularity of GIFs, seems almost inevitable -- the new service could kill a number of exiting GIF-making services.
