How Top Publishers Are Using Snapchat

Nieman Lab considers how several top publishers are using Snapchat as a content distribution and engagement channel. Though their efforts remain highly experimental, the numbers some publisher are seeing are substantial. For one, The Verge’s snaps each get about 10,000 views, but its own count. “The Verge … still views [Snapchat] as an experiment, trying out new ways to use the format -- from covering live events like the NBA All-Star Game or the Oscars to a regular series where Sheffer has Verge staffers explain what’s on their desks,” Nieman Lab reports.
