DataXu, Adobe, Among FBX 'Shadow Partners'

Facebook removed over a dozen companies from its official Facebook Exchange (FBX) partner list the other week, but several non-listed companies still have access to the exchange.

AdExchanger has reported that “Adform, Adobe, DataXu, Conversant (owned by Epsilon), MyThings, PerfectAudience (owned by Marin) and Struq (owned by Quantcast) are all among the companies still active on FBX,” though they are “not authorized to tell customers and prospects about it.”

Why exactly Facebook has decided to have a tier of “shadow partners” on the FBX is “a little murky,” writes AdExchanger, but encouraging the “shadow partners” to spend more -- in the hopes of becoming a certified partner --  is floated as a possibility.
