Jeb Bush Joins Roster Of Net Neutrality Critics

Florida Governor Jeb Bush joined the roster of Republican politicians to criticize the Federal Communications Commission's recent net neutrality vote. “The idea of regulating access to the Internet with a 1934 law is one of the craziest ideas I’ve ever heard,” he reportedly said. Bush was referring to the FCC's decision to reclassify broadband as a common-carrier service, which is regulated under Title II of the Telecommunications Act. Many broadband providers opposed that move, arguing that Title II regulations, initially designed for telephone companies, aren't suited to broadband technology.
