AT&T plans to expend its 1Gbps GigaPower fiber optic broadband service to U.S. 38 additional cities. “AT&T launched GigaPower in Austin, Texas, about two years ago and has been waging a
battle with Google Fiber and others ever since then,” Computerworld reports. The biggest cities include Birmingham, Ala., San Francisco and San Jose, Calif. The expansion will bring
GigaPower’s footprint to 58 cities.
