Nokia’s first-quarter earnings failed to meet Wall Street’s expectations, this week. The Wall Street Journal attributed the miss to “sluggish mobile-network sales and charges related
to the recent acquisition of French rival Alcatel-Lucent
SA. Previously, “Nokia … said that the acquisition would help it diversify revenue stream beyond core
customers.”
