Cable Industry Cheers FCC For Staying Data Security Rules

Trade groups representing Internet service providers are cheering the FCC's decision to lift a new rule requiring ISPs to use reasonable data security measures. The agency's move "is a welcome recognition that consumers benefit most when privacy protections are consistently applied throughout the Internet ecosystem," NCTA -- The Internet & Television Association, stated in response to the move.
