BlueBlastMedia’s Bluetooth Nightlife Network reaches consumers out on the town with video, display, or text ads on Bluetooth-enabled mobile devices, combining mobile with out-of-home.

The network is active in several New York City locations, and is looking to expand into shopping malls, amusement parks, and sports arenas. BlueBlast recommends tying in other out-of-home placements — such as branded coasters, napkins, and pint glasses — and can work with vendors to sync up appropriate creative.

Early adopters already use their mobile devices anywhere, anytime, but now, instead of late e-mails from the office, they can receive opt-in content like ringtones, photos, or mp3s. The content is segmented so users don’t get the same message several times in one night.
