The advertising industry makes for irresistible eavesdropping opportunities, and you can find plenty of proof on AdVerbatims.blogspot.com. The anonymously hosted blog features ridiculous tidbits overheard in some of the world's most respected marketing and media agencies, such as JWT, Ogilvy, and McCann-Erickson. It began as instant messages and e-mail exchanges and quickly evolved into a popular Spanish-language blog, "Palabras Textuales." Submissions flowed in so rapidly that the ad-free site went global, with posts from the U.S., the UK, Italy, and Japan.
