News Corporated

  • by , December 16, 2007

On my way home from a business trip Friday I picked up a copy of The Wall Street Journal in La Guardia. Flipping through the A section pages I stumbled across Rupert Murdoch/News Corp.'s "my manhood is larger than yours" multiple-page advertisement.

If your readers are already doubting your ability to provide fair news, this propaganda will surely win them over.

The ad lists highlights in News Corp's history against the y-axis of company revenue.

Nothing says fair and balanced journalistic integrity and ethical judgment like flaunting corporate financial data.

I realize the WSJ is a money-centric publication, but that has nothing to do with your staff's ability to report and tell a story.

It only makes me doubt your leadership.
