And then it hit me," editor-in-chief Deborah Needleman prefaces her eco-epiphany in March's issue of domino. "It's not domino's job to tell you how to lobby Congress for more efficient fuels or send reporters to investigate 'corporate greenwashing' or even try to convince you to move your entire family into a solar-powered yurt." Indeed. For the magazine's second green issue, Needleman concludes she can best help her readers make sustainable choices by inspiring them to buy tons of overpriced crap they probably don't need or have room for in the first place ... just as domino does in every issue. How can one live without a part-soy camisole ($110), hoop-pine plywood lamp ($500), or horn-handle flatware from "unharmed water buffalo" ($87)?
