    Ryan Communications, Inc. announced several transitions within their media department. DEBRA BECKER assumed the media director position. Becker joined the agency in 1999 as assistant media director. Additionally, ANGELA ROMANO has been promoted to media buyer, and KRISS PARZYCH has been hired as senior media buyer for the team. Romano joined the agency as administrative assistant during January of 2001. Parzych previously served as a Senior Media buyer for Latorra, Paul, McCann Advertising.

    DEAN CHURACK joined Media Receivable Management as executive vice president. He had been director of executive recruiting for PRIME SOURCE AGENCY.

    BRIDGET SHEA has been named Marketing Manager at GreaterThanOne.com, a full-service interactive marketing agency.

    RICHARD SCHMIDT has been promoted to Director, Sales at 3web Corp. He has been with the company for over a year. Previously he worked at Bell ActiMedia for over 8 years. NICOLE KENNY has been named "Minister of Prosperity" at Bulldog Drummond. Her credentials include being the director of partner marketing for MP3.com, a marketing consultant for American Contact Lens, Inc., and an account executive for Samsung Electronics.

    JENNIFER MILLER has been named VP of Marketing at BGA, an Entertainment Marketing Agency with offices in New York and Miami. Miller comes to BGA from SAVARONA International, where she was VP of Marketing and Special Events Coordination for the past 2 years.

    COURTNEY McGOVERN joins B2BWorks as director, Eastern regional sales. McGovern comes to B2BWorks from 24/7 Media, Inc. in Chicago where she most recently served as director, Midwest advertising sales, overseeing the Chicago and Detroit sales offices.

    ANCA HILDRETH has been named National Promotions Manager for Made E-Z Products. She was previously a Sales Administrative Specialist with the company.

    Mediasmith, Inc., the Integrated Media Solutions Agency announced the return of DEREK LEEDY and JIM STADELMAN. Leedy will serve as Media Account Manager and take a seat on the company's media management committee. Stadelman will serve as Manager, Interactive Buying. Leedy, who left Mediasmith in early 2000, served in marketing management posts for Verde.com and Securant Technologies in addition to independent media and marketing consulting. Stadelman left Mediasmith in late 1999 for Sabela Media.

    MICHELE FABRIZI, President and CEO of MARC USA/Pittsburgh, was awarded the 2001 ATHENA Award by the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce. The ATHENA Award recognizes women in the community who contributes in significant ways to the achievements of women.

    GEOFF LEWIS has been named editorial director for the recently created Financial Services Group at PRIMEDIA Inc. Lewis, formerly of BusinessWeek and CNBC.com, will be responsible for overseeing editorial and working on product development across the spectrum of its financial services properties.

    SHANE ANKENEY has been named media director and senior partner at Carmichael Lynch. He had been director of media strategy at TBWA/Chiat/Day L.A.

    MICHAEL S. LIBERETTI, EVP of Operations and CFO of Nassau Broadcasting Partners, LP, passed away after a long battle with cancer. He was 37 and leaves a wife and two children.

    BILL BLUESTEIN, the president and CEO of Forrester Research Inc., has died of a heart attack at the age of 44.
