  • MARC WALKER joined Reuters as Midwest account director from Knight Ridder Digital’s Real Cities Network. ALISON RAYFIELD was tapped as account executive and joins the company from Advertising.com. Lastly, SUMITA SINGH joined the media division as VP, global head of marketing insights and provides research support for all of Reuters’ digital initiatives.


  • Carton Donofrio Partners has named BRIAN DECKER as media director. Most recently, Decker was an executive vice president, media director at Eisner Communications.


  • Northlight Advertising has promoted JEFFREY MORGAN to creative team coordinator.


  • RICK CARTER and STEVE SMITH have joined MARC USA as vp/group account directors. Carter joins from Miller Brewing Company, where he served as innovations director, while Smith joins from Benton & Bowles were he served as senior account manager.


  • AutoWeek magazine has named ANTHONY J. “TONY” MERPI as publisher and KEITH “K.C” CRAIN, JR. as associate publisher/sales.


  • The Africa Channel has named MARCO WILLIAMS vice president of affiliate marketing.


  • CLINT STINCHCOMB has been promoted to executive vice president and general manager for HDTV and New Media at Discovery. In his new role, Stinchcomb will oversee all programming, production, development and operations for Discovery HD Theater and TURBO, Discovery’s new multi-platform brand in the U.S.


  • CATHRYN CRONIN CRANSTON has been named executive vice president of strategy and sales development at Mansueto Ventures. Cranston joins the company from Harvard Business Review, where she served as publisher.


  • STEVE SULLIVAN, senior vice president, communications for Liberty Mutual Group, was elected chairman of the Association of National Advertisers, succeeding JIM STENGEL, global marketing officer, Procter & Gamble.


  • MARGARET LEWIS was named evp, US head of communications planning at Universal McCann. Lewis joined the agency from Mediaedge:cia.


  • ROBERT MORRIS joined Young & Rubicam Brands Irvine in the newly created position of vp, director of digital. In this role, Morris will direct the agency's full service digital practice on behalf of all client partners.


  • DANIELLE PERISSI has joined Time Inc.’s Corporate Communications Department as executive director.


  • MARY MURCKO has been named vice president and publisher of Women's Health.


  • Tribune Publishing has named DAVID D. HILLER president, publisher and chief executive officer of the Los Angeles Times, succeeding JEFF JOHNSON, who resigned.


  • BILL ROSOLIE has been promoted to executive vice president of Rainbow National Network Advertising Sales.


  • THOMAS P. CALDWELL was named senior vice president and chief financial officer at Jingle Networks. Before joining Jingle Networks, Caldwell was a principal with Financial Leadership Group, LLC, where he provided CFO consulting services to public and private companies.


  • Real Branding has named MARTI FUNK as media director and PATRICIA GALEA as group account director. Funk joins the agency from Carat Fusion.


  • JOUETTE TRAVIS was named executivevice president-managing director of Carat Dallas. She will be responsible for operations of the Carat Dallas office, leading local business development and overseeing strategic development for existing clients, such as RadioShack, Game Stop and Rent-a-Center. Jouette joins Carat from OMD Dallas, where she served as senior vice president-managing director.


  • NEIL STROW has joined the Travel Ad Network as senior director, east coast sales. Previously Strow opened and ran the New York Sales office for TiVo. Prior to that, he worked for The Weather Channel and Weather.com.


  • GenieKnows.com has named TONY ABOU-ASSALEH as director of research and development. Abou-Assaleh is responsible for leading the GenieKnows.com research team in developing search-engine technologies.


  • Heavy.com has named DOUG ROHRER as executive vice president, revenue. He most recently served as executive vice president, emerging media, MTV Networks.


  • Peppercom has named GENE COLTER to the newly created role of editorial director in the agency’s New York office. Colter joins Peppercom from The Wall Street Journal, where he spent two years as news editor in the Money & Investing section.


  • HENRY SCHLEIFF, most recently chairman of the Court Television Network, has been named president and chief executive officer of Crown Media.


  • Deep Focus has hired MARTIN MARCUS as vice president of finance and operations and ERIC DRUCKENMILLER as the company's media director.


  • SUSAN BRABANT and GEORGE DELEON were promoted to associate account executives at The Walt Disney Internet Group, Disney Online.


  • WhitePages.com has named ERIK RICARD as an account executive and JON HOLM as network account executive.
