  • ANGELA CANNON has been promoted to director of affiliate marketing, eastern region, up from senior affiliate marketing manager, at Gospel Music Channel.


  • JEAN-BRIAC (J.B.) PERRETTE has been promoted to president, digital distribution at NBC Universal Digital Distribution. Perrette will be responsible for the distribution of television content across multiple digital platforms, including interactive television, wireless, on-demand and IPTV. Previously, Perrette served as senior vice president, new media distribution, where he led the company's development of new content distribution businesses with a focus on on-demand and interactive television.


  • Mansueto Ventures announced that KAREN DORST has been hired as account development director ofInc.com and FastCompany.com to oversee the planning of all integrated advertising campaigns for the Web sites. Dorst was formerly a senior partner and operations director for RMGConnect, a division of J. Walter Thompson.


  • ADRIANA VILA has joined Zumba Fitness as marketing manager from Accentmarketing where she worked in advertising, PR & event marketing for clients such as Chevy, Pontiac, GMC, U.S. Navy, Farmers Insurance and Kaiser Permanente.


  • JAMES (JIM) SMITH will join The Huffington Post in January as chief revenue officer. Most recently he was chief of publisher services at AOL's Advertising.com, heading up the group that manages business partnerships with the company's network of web publishers.


  • Publicis West has named JENNIFER BLANK as account supervisor; JASON SULLIVAN asVP, account director; GERARD SEIFERT assenior copywriter; and JEFF LIMON as art director.


  • COURTNEY BUECHERT has joined Eleven as president and partner. Buechert joins the agency from McCann Erickson San Francisco where he was executive vice president and general manager since 2001.


  • BRIAN GRAZIANO has joined LM&O Advertising as senior account executive. He will lead interactive media strategies for the National Guard and Chevy Chase Bank accounts.


  • BOB SITRICK has been promoted to senior vice president, live production & special projects for Discovery Networks, U.S. Sitrick oversees the strategic planning and operational aspects of all Discovery Networks’ live events, and provides technical oversight and guidance for special network event productions.


  • TOM BLESSINGTON was named managing director, and JELLY HELM and STEVE LUKER were named creative directors for Wieden+Kennedy’s Portland office.


  • JENNIFER GEISSER has been named vice president, corporate communications for Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel.


  • RON LAWNER, vice chairman, global chief creative officer at Arnold Worldwide, is leaving the agency at the end of the year.


  • Visible World has promoted TARA WALPERT from executive vice president and general manager to president.


  • Sigma Group has named SHANNON MORRIS as president. She was formerly vice president and managing director.


  • BRIAN O’SHEA, formerly at Deutsch Los Angeles, has joined Texture Media and Crispin Porter + Bogusky as an account director in their Boulder, Colorado offices.


  • TONY NETHERCUTT has joined AdMob as vice president of advertising sales. He most recently served as vice president of sales for YouTube.


  • JON ALSOP was promoted to vice president of sales for Advertising.com.


  • Ames Scullin O’Haire has named JIM HURD as media director. Prior to joining the agency, Hurd spent nine-years with Cooper / TraverRohrback as media director.


  • CRAIG INDECK joined PJA Advertising and Marketing as director of traffic. Before joining PJA, Indeck spent three years with Connelly Partners as the agency’s traffic manager. In addition, SCOTT SILVERMAN was named accounting manager.


  • RDW Group hired PETER MARINO as director of research.


  • The VIA Group promoted MATT CARTER and CHRISTINE MALIK from account supervisors to client strategists. ERIN CUNNINGHAM was hired as an account manager. Prior to joining VIA, Cunningham was a retail business planner at Cole Haan.


  • LISA KETTMAN-KERVINEN joined Worldwide Partners as director of European operations.


  • ROB ABEYTA, JR. joined 72andSunny as art director. Previously, Abeyta was an art director at Nike, where he supervised the design of six seasons of footwear and apparel for a new streetwear line introduced in 2006.


  • Concrete Pictures has named KEVIN LAHR as producer. Lahr will be responsible for managing new projects and maintaining client relationships.


  • VNU Business Media has named JOE FLYNN vice president, sports and DAVID KORSE vice president/general manager, merchandise.


  • GEERT LINNEBANK, editor-in-chief of Reuters, will be moving to a new and broadened role in January 2007. DAVID SCHLESINGER, global managing editor and Linnebank’s deputy, will succeed him.


  • Ellis Entertainment has appointed SONIA ORMAECHEA as sales director responsible for territories including The Americas and Australasia. Ormaechea most recently served as head of sales and acquisitions at Parapiti Entertainment.


  • MARCY BLOOM was promoted to associate publisher of GQ magazine, up from advertising director.
