  • JIM PATTERSON was named senior account manager for Guideposts magazine. He most recently served as senior account executive at USA Weekend.


  • Carat named LAURA DAVIS as an account executive. She joins the agency from MaintainNet in Boston where she managed the Dunkin Brands and Playskool accounts.


  • ANTHONY RISICATO joined SEMDirector as vice president of display analytics and general manager of International.


  • NICHOLAS GRAHAM joined Ask.com as vice president of corporate communications. Graham most recently served as press secretary and spokesperson for the President's Commission on Care for America's Returning Wounded Warriors.


  • Radarworks promoted media director, JULIE FOSTER to vice president.


  • ERIC M. GOULD was named president of IAG Research. He will be responsible for IAG's data quality and integrity, as well as its technological innovation.


  • DAVID ADELMAN was named chief marketing officer of MindShare North America. He joined the agency from Johnson & Johnson, where he most recently served as media director for its Global Marketing Group. While there, he was responsible for increasing the company's digital marketing efforts and introducing communications planning processes to the marketer's OTC medicines, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices businesses.

  • SMG Search promoted managing director STEVE GOVERNALE from vice president to senior vice president.


  • MICHELE COLOMBO joined the OgilvyAction team in New York as executive vice president and managing director.


  • The Bravo Group hired ELIUD KAUFFMAN as group account director in the New York office and promoted SYLVIA CRUZ to group account director in Chicago. Kauffman joins Bravo from mcgarrybowen, where as account managing director, he was the lead account manager for the Verizon (Copper and FiOs) business.


  • MARIANNE GAROFALO joined Strategis as a marketing strategist.


  • DAN BURKHART joined Flock as vice president of marketing.


  • The New York office of Avenue A | Razorfish promoted MATT GREITZER to vice president and global discipline lead of search marketing, and TERRI WALTER to vice president of advanced marketing solutions.


  • TM Advertising hired DAVE WEAVER as its chief strategic officer. He joined the agency from Heresy, a creative branding consultancy that he founded in 2005 to help bring innovation and unique creative solutions to clients.


  • St. John & Partners added EMILY MEHER as a media planning assistant.


  • NEIL MILLER joined Draftfcb as chief financial officer. Miller most recently served as chief financial officer for North America at McCann Erickson.


  • The Independent Film Channel named CRAIG PARKS as vice president of branded entertainment and business development. Prior to joining IFC, Parks served as executive producer and creative director of specials projects in the on-air and promotions department of Rainbow Media Holdings, the parent company of IFC. In addition, LAUREN BURACK was promoted to vice president event marketing and promotions, up from director of event marketing.


  • TOM DUNLAP joined Deutsch LA as senior vice president, director of integrated production. He most recently served as director of integrated production at Wieden + Kennedy in Amsterdam.


  • MediaCom named MARK S. PIAZZA as managing partner, chief financial officer. Prior to joining MediaCom, Piazza was vice president, chief financial officer for Publicis Modem.

  • Access 360 Media named ADAM DORNBUSCH as an executive director of business development. He joins the company from Starz Entertainment Group where he was a senior manager of on-demand programming.


  • EDUARDO DEL RIVERO, who served as president & CEO of dRM DDB since 1994, is retiring. Assuming the role of president & chief creative officer of the agency is LUIS MIGUEL MESSIANU. Along with these changes, dRM DDB is relaunching as Alma DDB.


  • Spy Post promoted LORI JOSEPH from producer to executive producer.


  • NICK CHILDS joined Grey New York as executive vice president, director of content development, a new position. Childs will oversee a new, integrated content development department that encompasses broadcast, print, promotional and digital production and placement of original brand content. He previously served as president of Cascade Media.


  • CINDY BEESMER was promoted to associate publisher, New York of Los Angeles magazine.


  • Univision Online promoted AKEELAH KURAISHI to account director, Midwest region and DE ANNE WINGATE to vice president ad sales, Midwest region.


  • Initiative North America hired ERIN FLAXMAN as senior vice president, director of business development. Most recently, Flaxman ran the K-Mart business for MindShare Worldwide in Chicago, where she provided strategic direction for all integrated media platforms as a management consultant.


  • MP RASPANTI was hired as an art director at Looney Advertising and DANIELLE YERANIAN was promoted to production director.


  • JANET BROESCH was named partner, creative director for G2 Promotional Marketing, Chicago. Broesch will oversee all creative for one of the agency's signature clients, Procter & Gamble. Most recently, Broesch was creative director at Draftfcb Group, Chicago, where she had creative responsibilities for clients Nokia, Burger King, CVS Pharmacy, State Farm and Loews Theaters.


  • EPrize promoted NATHAN HUGHES as vice president of development and GAYLE TAUB as vice president of creative.


  • MATT PURDUE joined Peppercom as senior analyst. Purdue will develop new consulting services to help clients understand and leverage the media and business trends that affect them. He recently served as interim editor and executive editor on the re-launch of Worth magazine and its Web site, Worth.com.


  • KD&E named FELICIA McCLEARY an OOH media buyer; DANIEL CARTWRIGHT was named media buyer; KIM KUWATA joined the interactive team as interactive media coordinator; and ADRIANA PINA was named account coordinator.


  • LAURA GRIFFITH and ERICA CAMPORINI joined Ecast as director of advertising sales, Detroit, and director of advertising sales, Los Angeles, respectively.


  • Tapestry, a division of SMG Multicultural, promoted ELENA MARROQUIN to senior vice president/director of strategy. She had been vice president /director of strategy for the past five years, leading Hispanic strategy for client Procter & Gamble and overseeing multicultural activity within SMG.


  • JASON LUK joined AOL Media Networks as search account manager. He previously worked as a program manager, search engine marketing for Carat.

  • LOREN CHYLLA was named senior media director of Adcom Communications. He joins the company from cleveland.com, where he was director of marketing and creative services.


  • The Transworld Advertising Agency Network named PETER GERRITSEN as global president. He succeeds GARY LESSNER, who has been president for the past ten years.


  • CRAIG STEVENS joined VGS Creative as director of business development.
