Euro Regulators Object To U.S. Attempts To Curb Online Gambling

European regulators said Thursday that U.S. attempts to curb Web gambling violate World Trade Organization rules. But the European authorities also said they don't intend to file a complaint with
the WTO, Reuters reported.
A 2006 U.S. law, the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, prohibits banks and credit card companies from sending money to online gambling sites.
Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) has said he intends to soon introduce a repeal.--Wendy Davis
