Super Bowl Ad Equals Monster Numbers
Monster.com measures the strength of their traffic figures in three ways: resume submissions, job searches, and job postings. Over the past three years of purchasing Super Bowl ad time, job searches on Monster.com have nearly doubled each year. In 2001, a record 8.1 million job searches were conducted. In 2000, there were 4.4 million job searches after the game. And in 1999, 2.2 million job searches were tallied. It wasn't just the job seekers that were logging on, though, as potential employers posted 27,728 available jobs on Monday, a 60% hike from the 17,279 jobs posted a day prior to the Super Bowl. From the numbers, it seems as if people's post-game festivities this year were either logging on to Monster.com, or returning their Kerry Collins jerseys.
