Yahoo Offers Soap Opera Recap

Following up its "Primetime in No Time," recap of the previous night's primetime TV shows, Yahoo has launched "Daytime in No Time," offering highlights from soap operas and game shows. On board as the initial sponsor of the three-minute video capsules is JC Penney, which aims to reach millions of women aged 18 to 49 in one place rather than advertising across several different daytime shows.

The retailer will reach women not only through branded site and video commercials, but also via product placement since the "Daytime" host will wear JC Penney clothes on each episode. Yahoo TV, which houses the new program along with "Primetime," full TV show episodes and other video content, had 21 million unique visitors in April, according to comScore. --Mark Walsh
