HILARY MICHELS joins The Townsend Agency as Director of Business Development. Prior to joining The Townsend Agency, Michels worked for three years as the vice president of business development for Alden/Em, a marketing communications and new media technology company.

MICHAEL D. KLEIN has been named VP and Group Publisher to the IDG Executive Forums management team. Klein joins IDG Executive Forums from DevX.com, where he was VP, publisher.

JEFF BANDER has been promoted to VP of Local Sales for WorldNow, NYC. Bander was previously Director of Sales in the South East.

MAELYNN CHEUNG has been promoted to Editor of CookingLight.com at Cooking Light magazine. She was promoted from her position of Managing Editor of the site.

MARY BISHOP is taking early retirement as President-CMO of Bcom3 Group's Leo Burnett USA. JOHN MCKEOWN is taking over as Executive Creative Officer at the New York office of Bcom3 Group's Bartle Bogle Hegarty. He had been Executive VP- Creative group head at Interpublic Group of Cos.' Lowe Lintas and Partners, New York, where he worked on the UPS account. McKeown replaces TY MONTAGUE, who left the agency last year for Wieden & Kennedy, New York.

BILL WALKER, KAREN BREEN VOGEL, TIMOTHY S. BARNGROVER and DICK RYAN have new positions at B2Bworks. Previously Sr. VP, Site Relations, Co-founder, Walker has been named Executive VP, Marketing and Customer Service. Vogel has been promoted from VP, Marketing and E-business Relations to Sr. VP, Strategy. Barngrover, VP, Site Operations. He previously served as Sr. Director, Customer Service. Ryan has been named VP, Sales, expanding upon his previous National Sales Director position.

LIZ VANZURA joined General Motors Corp. as Advertising Director of its Hummer brand Detroit, acquired last year. She was Advertising Director at Volkswagen of America since 1997.

TRACEY WILLIAMS has been promoted from Sr. Account Executive to VP, Sales for Katz Radio in Chicago. Also at Katz, MATT COWAN has been promoted to Manager of the Atlanta office from Sr. Account Executive. JENNIFER MAGOZZI also from Katz, has been named Manager of the Minneapolis office. Her most recent position was Sr. Account Executive. SCOTT TAYLOR has been named VP, Director of Sales also for Katz Radio based in Chicago. He was previous Manager of the Minneapolis office. Also at Katz, G.K. SELLERS has been promoted to VP, Director of Sales based in Dallas form Manager.

DEBRA BROWN, former President of Cyrk Simon Worldwide Advertising Industry Executive, has been named CEO of United Virtualities.
