Brace yourselves, weather mavens. The Weather Channel Interactive Wednesday announced the latest version of its mobile site, www.weather.com/mobile, featuring animated radar weather maps and enhanced current conditions pages.

Users will now be able to tailor their home page to feature weather content that best suit their needs, such as airport delays, current conditions, and severe weather alerts and pollen activity. The upgraded site also includes expanded forecast options offered in hourly, 36-hour, 10-day, school-day and weekend reports.

Popular features such as local video forecasts and the Hurricane Central section will remain. According to Nielsen Mobile, the Weather Channel Mobile was the fourth-most-popular mobile site as of April after Google, Yahoo Mail and Gmail. --Mark Walsh
