Roy Spence, a co-founder of GSD&M 38 years ago, is stepping down as CEO. Duff Stewart takes over as president-CEO after 19 years at the agency, specializing in account management. Spence will remain as chairman at the shop, which took on a "GSD&M Idea City" moniker several years ago. Longtime clients include Southwest Airlines and the Air Force; the Austin-based agency handles media buying for clients such as MasterCard out of Chicago. Before entering advertising, Stewart worked in commercial real estate. At GSD&M, he became head of account management.--David Goetzl
