Dan Rather's $70 Mil Lawsuit Against CBS Restored

A New York judge has restored Dan Rather's $70 million lawsuit against CBS and Viacom, per The Hollywood Reporter. The former CBS anchor says the network made him a scapegoat over his 2004 story about George W. Bush's service in the Texas Air National Guard during the Vietnam War. The judge has allowed Rather to refile his case, ruling that the lawsuit -- which previously also named Sumner Redstone, Leslie Moonves and former CBS News president Andrew Heyward -- can move forward.
